“If you are an employer with a strong brand, that attractiveness can outlive short-term blips as long as you’re consistent with your manner, your message, and your image in the market. In the fight for talent, this is hugely important.”
A relevant message if I’ve ever heard one.

When the Tamm + Kit staff met at our Toronto offices on the morning of the Golden Rescue Golf Tournament, it looked like the day would be sunny and beautiful. Little did we know, by the time we would arrive at the Hockley Valley Resort, a treacherous storm would be pounding Orangeville.
To our surprise, Catherine, Deby, and I were happily greeted by some gorgeous Goldens, who — along with dedicated golfers — didn’t seem to mind the rain. My job of the day was to take photos of golfers with our blonde models, Goldens Sadie and Bingo. Only a few of the players hung up their clubs before the finish line. I snapped souvenir photos on the green of the players who weren’t deterred by the rain. By the time our last group of golfers were done the 4th hole, we had survived four grueling hours of the storm. We raced over to the resort to warm up in front of the fire and mingle with the Goldens and their owners before dinner.
In the dining hall, the tables were decorated in true Golden fashion: yellow floral centerpieces with dog collars around the flowerpots. Prizes were handed out to the adventurous golfers who made it through the rain and each place setting had a Golden Rescue calendar. There was also a silent auction that benefitted Golden Rescue’s outreach programs. And to cap off the day, there was a special live episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Lenopaws! Tamm’s Catherine and Deby lent their voices to the hilarious doggie-friendly skit.
Some might not have the enjoyed storm, soaked shoes, and the smell of wet dogs. But, as I cuddled up to my own dog (Dexter the pug) that night, I felt grateful for having helped an organization that is dedicated to finding homes for such wonderful dogs. Woof-woof!
